Mark's birthday always seems to come in with a bang, or at least end with one. Mark turned 12 this year and aged his Mom and Dad 10 years with one birthday. We don't feel old enough to have a 12 year old, almost teenager. Mark is an easy kid though. He is helpful, and always willing to help which we hope will always be part of who Mark is. Mark is very smart, and loves to learn about anything. He is always reading. Mark is good at everything he puts his mind to. He is quite the pianist, baseball player, tennis player, brother, friend, and everything in between. We feel pretty lucky to have him in our family.
A true teenage pose. |
Mark's birthday was another fun event with family coming over for the 4th of July BBQ. Melanie was in town from CA, so that made it extra fun. The kids all played baseball for hours on end, and we ate lots of great food. Mark was a good sport and let Mom buy the Costco chocolate cake since we were leaving for Glacier the next day.
Mark asked for muffins for his breakfast! |
Dax made Mark his own fire starting kit. It had paper, leaves, and little twigs. |
Mark loves his Donovan Mitchell jersey! |
It was really fun having the Webbs stay with us for Mark's birthday. |
Mark really wanted a Donovan Mitchell jersey and was so happy when Mom and Dad splurged on one. His brothers also gave him some nice gifts like a new Rubix cube, and a pack of baseball cards.
Mark always wants to see fireworks for his birthday, so we dragged over to North Point Elementary to watch the Lehi Thanksgiving Point Fireworks. They are far enough away that no one gets too scared, but close enough that you can still see them. So Mark's birthday ended on a high note!
Mark got a few presents when we were at Bear Lake the week before his birthday. |
