Mother's Day

Rare Family pic at the Tulip Festival.
It was a wonderful Mother's Day. Randy and the boys worked really hard to make my Mother's Day weekend very special. They cleaned the whole house and wrote me the kindest cards. I am lucky to have such an amazing family to take care of me.

On Saturday, we went to the Tulip Festival. It opened for a few weeks once Utah went to Yellow with timed tickets to keep crowds down. It was wonderful. The Tulip Festival is one of my favorite spring events. The tulips were beautiful, and I loved walking the grounds with my boys.
Mark is getting really good at taking Mom and Dad's picture.
These were Mom's favorite flowers this year.
The cutest little goslings went for a swim right when we walked by.
This fountain was extra beautiful this year.
The boys love walking through the Light of the World exhibit. It is such a special spot.
It was a beautiful day at the Tulip Festival.
Randy and I had quite an adventure Saturday night. Randy wanted to take me out to dinner for Mother's Day, so we called and put our name on the list at Texas Roadhouse. They told us 20-30 minutes, so we headed over at that time. Once we arrived, they told us 15 more minutes. We continued to wait and wait, and they kept telling us it was taking longer than expected. And we knew that they had to limit the amount of people in the restaurant. After waiting for almost an hour and half, we decided to give up and get take out at Cubby's. About one minute after I placed the curbside order, the text came in that our table was ready at Texas Roadhouse, of course. We ate our dinner at home, but hopefully once the Corona Virus improves, we can try going out again.
Waiting! Just waiting for dinner.
Eating dinner at home. Not what we hoped for, but still nice!
Sunday was a nice restful day. Randy cooked pumpkin french toast, which has become a tradition for Mother's Day. We went for a walk and rested. Everyone helped cook dinner for me, and I was treated like a queen. It was just what Mom needed.
Mom loves Pumpkin French Toast. She is so glad that Dad found this recipe!
I love my boys. I'm so grateful I get to be their mom.
