April started with a huge trip to California, but we still had a whole month of fun ahead of us. One day the boys had school off while Dad had meetings, so we went to check out some new parks and enjoy our favorite bird drive.
Mark was a great jumper. |
This park was so fun. It has a little fire station. |
Mark won the award for the slowest slide ever. |
Seth loves checking out new parks. |
Dax love to relax. |
We spotted a fox driving between the two parks. |
We saw two coyotes at the Waterfowl Area. |
We thought this was a bird, but it is a turtle. |
Ruddy ducks are always cool to see. |
Great Egret |
Great Blue Heron |
This is one of our favorite places in Utah. |
This spot is right by the Great Salt Lake. |
Shortly after our trip to California, Dax, Seth and Mom headed to Las Vegas for a baseball tournament. They had a wonderful time hanging out with the Pooles.
Road trip! |
When we got home, we ate a passover dinner with Mark and Dad. |
Mom and Dad make sure to go on dates. |
Mom got to read books with Seth at Books and Buddies. |
Enjoyed some Handel's ice cream for Highland Spirit Night. |
Dax always gets mint ice cream. |
Grandpa Daniels was made the stake patriarch. It was such a special day to be able to watch him be ordained, and then enjoy dinner with some of the family.
Mom made a beautiful trifle. |
One half of the table. |
The other half. |
Seth hasn't been able to have swimming lessons for a long time. We are always so busy in the summer, so we decided to do some swimming lessons during the school year. It was fun to watch him progress and become a great swimmer. He is much more confident in the water now.
Seth loved swimming! |
Seth really became a great little swimmer. |
Baseball season never stops, and April was an adventurous month for baseball. One day it was warm, the next it was snowing. Grandma and Grandpa came down for a weekend to watch Dax play in a tournament.
It snowed and was freezing at this game. |
Grandma and Grandpa are great supporters of the boys' sports. |
We updated our Junior Ranger badges after our April trip. They have earned so many badges since we first got these vest. Check out
this post for the first pic!
There are badges all over the back, too! |
Seth has grown up so much. |
Mark has been doing Junior Ranger programs for a long time. |
