Park City

It was fun to be with family for a week.

Grandpa Daniels scheduled some townhomes for the family to stay in for a full week in Park City. We were so excited for a vacation, and we haven't done a whole lot in Park City. Melanie, Stephanie, and Brittany couldn't come, but Tiffany and her family made the trek from Las Vegas. So Grandma, Grandpa, the Pooles, and the Ockeys spent the week hanging out together.

We shared the meals, which helped us save money on eating out. Everyone was so kind about cooking food that Mom and Dad could eat on their diet, too. We did have a little bit of back and forth driving with Dax's baseball tryout and Mark's final baseball party, and then Dad even had to go back for work, so he missed the last few days. But for the most part we partied all week long.

We stayed near the center of Park City.

We went for little walks through the city.
Jonny carried Randy in an attempt to teach kids not to whine!

We went swimming almost every day!

This is why Randy doesn't like to get in the pool.

Most of our days consisted of heading out for an adventure and then coming back to relax at the hotel to play games and swim. One day we headed down to the McPolin Farm to walk around. This old historic farm is one of the most iconic places in Park City. We enjoyed looking at the old buildings and hiking the nature trail behind the farm.

We played Pooh Sticks with the cousins.

The McPolin Farm was so cool.

This flag was huge!

We hiked a little trail behind the farm.

Ben always wanted to walk with Mark.

Tiffany was kind enough to dunk Dax!

There were murals in the tunnel over to the farm.

Another adventure was down to Heber City. Grandpa had tickets for us to ride the Heber Creeper, but before we rode this historic train, we had to make a stop at the town of Daniel. We took a few pictures by the sign, and then played in Daniel Creek. The train ride was super fun and hot!

A bunch of Daniels in Daniel.

We stopped to play in Daniel Creek, too.

It was a shady little spot.

Grandma came along, too!

Grandpa still takes crazy pictures.

Dax got hurt at the playground, and Ben tried to help him feel better.

Dax had the cheesiest quesadilla for dinner.

Mark loves dessert.

We rode the Heber Creeper.

It was super hot!!

It was fun to ride the train with cousins.

The whole gang minus Jonny.

One of the best adventures that we did was driving up to the top of Big Cottonwood Canyon and walking around Silver Lake. The trail was simple enough that Grandma was able to come along. And the best part was that we spotted a moose, Grandma's favorite. We watched the momma moose and her baby for a little while before heading back around the lake to the car.

Later that afternoon we went to Utah Olympic Park. We watched some kids practice their ski jumps and snowboard moves. We also walked through the museum, but then ended up watching the jumpers again. The kids loved it.

We loved hiking with family.

Silver Lake is beautiful.

We were so excited to see a moose for Grandma.

The baby was so cute!

Mom loves this trail.

We have been here every year since Mark was a baby.

Grandma and Mark love spending time together.

Seth climbed up pretty high on some rocks.

It was a beautiful day in the mountains.

Seth and Dad rode the simulator.

They went skiing.

We all tried the ski jump, but Ben was the cutest.

We walked through the ski museum, but the girls would rather sit with Randy.

We went on our own Ockey adventure one morning and hiked to Bloods Lake. It was a nice trail, but it was pretty busy. We walked all around the lake and Mark, Seth, and Dad spotted some pikas. The lake was beautiful, and we did enjoy having a family hike.

It was a bright day for our hike.

Mark loves to be outdoors.

Dax found a pig nose log.

Mom loves to hike with her boys.

It was fun to be at Bloods Lake again.

The final big adventures were at Park City Mountain Resort which was across the street from where we were staying. Dad had gone back to work, but we rode the Alpine Slide the first day and the boys loved it. They went as fast as they could. But we really wanted to try the Mountain Coaster. So the next day we went back and gave it a try. It was even better than the Alpine Slide. Grandpa came with us and Seth and Mom rode together. The mountain coaster was so fast. It was a roller coaster right through the mountains and trees. We can't wait to take Dad back to try it out.

The ski lift ride was very scenic and pretty.

Dax and Seth had so much fun.

Mark was way over on the other track.

Mom went as fast as she could.

Grandpa rode the Alpine Slide with us!

Mark cruised down the hill.

Riding the mountain coaster was so much fun.
It was hard to take pictures, but Seth and Mom loved it!

Our Park City trip was a nice getaway right before school. We had so much fun!

Mark is a great cousin. He played games with the little girls.

He also hauled Ben around everywhere.

These three boys played together a lot.

Cousin time!

It was fun to relax with Grandma.

We had to walk over to Grandma and Grandpa's room for meals. Every time we passed the foosball table, so we had to stop and play for a bit.

We went over to check out the Kodiak cakes factory.

It was a great end to summer.
