Christmas Piano Recital

Mark and Dax had their Christmas Piano Recital with their new teacher Mrs. Bastian. They worked so hard to get their songs down, and they were really excited to play. They played their songs really well, but they had an extra challenge this year. Mark was asked to play a hymn on the organ and both boys were asked to participate in a group number with other students. They both did a great job. Then they did a chimes number, and even Seth got to play. This is where each kid gets a hand bell and rings it at the appropriate time to create a song. The boys had a great time, and we are really pleased with their progress in piano.
Seth was so excited to be part of the recital.
Mark was an excellent bell player.
Dax was hidden behind a bunch of tall people, but he had a fun time, too!
For Christmas, Grandma Daniels got them an '80s piano book that has about a hundred songs. It has been really fun listening to the boys play songs they love. Both Mark and Dax will sit down and play songs from the book for about an hour a day. Dax likes Let It Be, but Mark will play Sweet Child O' Mine and Every Rose Has Its Thorn over and over. We (mostly) love listening to them play!
