Memorial Day

Here's our family at the Ephraim Cemetery.
Memorial Day, like everything else this year, was a bit different. Mom's family couldn't get together at all, and some people in Dad's family were still uncomfortable being in a large group. Still, we ended up with 35 people there to talk about Grandpa Benson. This was a fairly significant departure from normal in that Grandpa wasn't actually in our line, but was technically our "step-grandpa." Still, everyone was excited to participate. Even days later, people were arguing about remembered stories and how much we all loved grandpa. It was pretty low-key, but still a fun experience.
We also stopped at Centerfield Cemetery to see Grandma Benson.
Everyone gathered around Grandma Ockey's grave to listen to Randy talk.

On Monday, we also took a quick trip up to see Grandpa Dan and Grandma Betty's gravesite since Mom's family wasn't able to gather. We love remembering our family members on Memorial Day. After the visit, we stopped by Dylan's Restaurant for a burger, which is a place in Ogden we all enjoyed with Grandma and Grandpa before they passed. We sure hope the boys hold all these special people in their memories.
Great Grandma and Grandpa Daniels have a nice shady spot.
