All three boys played basketball in the Lehi Rec League, and guess who got to coach? Mark played his last year with his friends, and they had a great season. All of their games drew massive crowds of mostly high school girls. Though the year ended on a sour note, with their opponent using two illegal players to oust them from the tournament, the boys had fun. Mostly, they were collecting and celebrating mission calls during the season. All but one of the nine boys decided to go, and they were spread all across every continent. We have a pretty little map that shows the following:
Nate to Chile
Conner to Taiwan
Mark to Argentina
Mason to Portugal
Max to Ghana
Will to South Africa
Tyce to Australia
Robbie (pending)

Missing Kayden, but Mark's team! |
Mark is a great team captain. |
It has been a blast watching Mark play basketball. |
Dax's year in basketball was also exciting. Since his school boundaries realigned and he moved to Lehi Junior High, he lost a lot of his teammates from previous years. Luckily, Dax picked up some other players, including a few from the neighborhood. We fielded a pretty good team. Our record was around .500 again, and we did okay in the tournament. In the final game against a juggernaut, he scored 30 points and brought us back from 10 down in the last minute, draining a logo three to pull us within two. We had a chance to win, but a teammate missed a three. Best of all, Dax worked really hard on helping others to realize their potential and on being a patient teammate. We were really proud of the progress he made on who he is becoming.

Dax has quite the style when he plays. |
Dax grew up so much this year. His long three was from that white line. |
Seth played basketball with his good friend, but it was a pretty frustrating year. They were the only two real basketball players on their team of ten, and Dad had to keep one of them on the court at all times, or we couldn't even bring the ball up. This meant that they only played together if someone was missing from the game. Still, they worked hard and won about half their games as well. Seth was a great scorer, and an even better passer and rebounder.

Seth is a great point guard. He had a lot of assists. |
We are lucky to have the best coach in our house! |
