Baptism in Las Vegas

We were so proud of Audrey.

Audrey was baptized in October. The Pooles had just gotten over corona-virus, so we had a difficult time making the decision to head to Las Vegas. Dad got a plane ticket for $50, but Mom and the boys left right after school let out Friday so they could make the long drive. It was late when everyone arrived, and by the time Dad's plane got in, the boys were already in bed. Mom and Dad got to bed pretty early, too.

Mom and the boys stopped at Roy's for pizza and sticks.
Don't worry, we saved some for Dad, too.

It wasn't busy at the airport when Dad went to check in.

The boys and Mom hung out in the hotel for a bit.

We had hot breakfast at the hotel, which is notable because that's not happening much with all the restrictions. Then we headed out to our one adventure called Seven Magic Mountains. This is a series of colorful rock towers just south of Las Vegas. We got back in time to get all dressed up for the baptism.

Mom has wanted to come to Seven Magic Mountains for awhile.

Dad and Mark liked the blue tower.

This was Dax's favorite.

Mom and Seth loved the rainbow one.

There were only about 25 people at the baptism, and it went really well. Mark said the opening prayer, and Mom was a witness for the first time. Both of them did really well. We took a few quick pictures afterward, and then we went back to the Poole's house for lunch.

To Dax's great satisfaction, Jonny had ordered a lot of really good Mexican food. We barely made a dent in it, but enjoyed trying. There wasn't much else to do, and we had to get back early, but we did hang around for a little while so the kids could play with cousins. We didn't get home until after 10 o'clock, and since we had our first remote church the next day, Dad needed to be ready for meetings.

It was such a lovely day to be at the baptism.

Audrey and Randy are best buddies.

It was so nice to see everyone.
