Mom's sister, Stephanie, had a baby right before Thanksgiving. We loved meeting baby James. The Ferlans decided to bless James on January 1st when Bob would be home for the holidays. We always have our New Year's Eve party, but driving to Idaho at 6:00 AM on New Year's Day after staying up late wasn't the best plan, so we rearranged our normal New Year's Eve activities.
Instead, we moved our party up to December 30. We played games and had treats with Laurie and Glen a day early. It is always fun to hang out with their family.

Then we drove up to Idaho on New Year's Eve and spent the day and evening with the Ferlans. We ate a lot of food and the kids watched movies and played. Bob let everyone set off fireworks outside while Mom stayed inside and held James. This was the most important part of the night, with everyone taking turns holding the baby. Randy got him to smile really big! It was so cute.

New Years Eve in Idaho! |
The next morning we went to church with everyone and heard a great joke, which Mark stole to use in his upcoming talk. We enjoyed lunch and then drove home quickly to beat the big snow storm that was coming. Luckily the weather was good, and we made it home safe and sound.
Seth and Charlie both wear their tuxedos from Grandma & Grandpa. They are so cute! |
