Mark's Birthday

Mark turned 19! It's his last year as a teenager. It is also his last birthday with us for two years. It was a very relaxed birthday. A lot of presents were things he needs for his mission. Since everyone was coming up the following week for Bear Lake, we didn't even have many family members. Melanie and Laurie and their families came to hang out with us.

Mark got a new hat and a new watch!

Unfortunately our A/C went out the day before Mark's birthday, so we were trying to live in the basement and keep things cool. Our neighbors were so nice and gave us a lot of fans. 

Mark took advantage of two fans at once.

After the BBQ, we went to the neighborhood fireworks. They were a little close to where we were sitting and we kept having to move to get out of the way of the burning embers, but we luckily survived.

We are so grateful for Mark. He is an amazing young man and he is going to be the best missionary. He is smart, kind, and a hard worker.  He is a great helper and is so nice to his mom! We cannot wait to watch Mark do great things!
