Anniversary in Manti

It was so neat to stay at the Manti House.
This year we celebrated Mom's birthday for 40 days. As part of that celebration, we "hired" Grandma Daniels and Brittany to come and shuttle the boys around to their soccer games one Saturday morning. Then Mom and Dad went down to spend a night at the Manti House Inn.

We left right after school and made the drive in time to pick up dinner at Roy's Pizza. This is our favorite place, and we always see someone we know (except this time). After supper, we still had enough time to head over to the temple to do some sealings. We checked into the inn and quickly changed. We spent over an hour in a beautiful sealing room with a few other couples, but again, we didn't see anyone we knew. We did take a quick peek at the sealing room where we were sealed. It was a wonderful evening in the temple. Then, even though it was late, we headed over to Ephraim to the Malt Shop. We got malts and took them back to the Manti House Inn.
Mom loves the cheese sticks at Roy's.
Sometimes it's nice to be just the two of us!
The inn was really nice, though it is obviously pretty old, but we were staying in the honeymoon suite, and the view of the temple was amazing. We went to bed pretty early because we were tired (and we're pretty old).

We woke up the next day to French toast and eggs served right in the hotel. We were already dressed for the temple because we wanted to do a session. Dad realized it's been over 25 years since he lived in Ephraim as we didn't see anyone we knew again. Then, just as we were leaving, someone rushed up to us and said, "Hey, we know you!" as we scrambled to recognize them, they explained that they were followers of Utah's Adventure Family. That seems to be our life now a lot more than the place Dad grew up so long ago.

It was a nice getaway, and Grandma Daniels got the boys to all their games. We made it back to Lehi by early afternoon, and we are grateful to have completed 17 years together!

The honeymoon suite was nice, even though we weren't honeymooners.
We watched the Jazz game and worked on the websit. We are boring old people now.
Being at the temple was the best part.
We love Manti!
