Tulip Festival

Every year, our family looks forward to the tulip festival. It is a tradition for us to go, and we love seeing all the tulips and checking on our favorite Great Horned Owl.

It was chilly the night we went, and some of us didn't bring jackets, but luckily our van is stocked with old sweatshirts for emergencies. It was also a Monday night which meant that everyone came for Family Home Evening, so it was really busy. Despite the cold, and the crowds, we had a fun time admiring all the tulips. Mom took a million pictures, of course, but here are just a few of her favorites. And by a few, she means 15!
Seth is so good about pictures. He always want to pose by all the different flowers.
Mom loves these tulips.
Dad likes to take pictures of Mom.
These are Dad's favorite--grape hyacinths.
Mark is getting so grown up.
Dax took this picture of Mom and Dad. They might send it out as a 15 year anniversary card.
There are so many picturesque spots in the garden.
Happy boys!
We spotted a turtle among the fish this time.
Dax loves the fragrance garden. He loves to smell all the flowers.
It's hard to believe that these three boys are so big.
Seth loves his daddy!
We always stop in the Secret Garden, even though it's not much of a secret now.
Someone looks lost....
We spotted this deer on the side of the road as we left Thanksgiving Point.
Also, there was no owl. She was not sitting in her regular spot. We were very disappointed.

Seth and Mom went back to the gardens for a preschool field trip the next week. The tulips were still beautiful, and Seth had a lot of fun with his friends. We wandered through some different areas of the gardens that we didn't make it to with the family, including the Italian Garden with the umbrellas. While we were there, it started to snow. April is crazy in Utah. There was still no owl, so we walked away disappointed yet again. Hopefully she will return next year.
These are Seth's buddies from his preschool. They are great kids.
It was a chilly day when we went to the Tulip Festival for our field trip.
I'm so lucky to have my little Seth to adventure with.
He loves to make crazy faces in photos!
Look Mom, I'm holding an umbrella! That's really what he said, and he told me I must take a picture!
